Purpose: To investigate the potential causal relationship between coffee consumption and osteoarthritis (OA), and to disentangle whether body mass index (BMI) and Bone mineral density (BMD) mediate this relationship. Methods: We performed two-sample and two-step Mendelian randomization (MR) analyses utilizing publicly available genome-wide association studies (GWAS) summary statistics to estimate the association between coffee intake and OA risk (including knee OA, hip OA, knee or hip OA, and total OA), as well as the possible mediating effects of BMI and BMD. In addition, data of different coffee types (decaffeinated coffee, instant coffee, ground coffee-including espresso, filter, etc., and other coffee types) were used to explore the effect of coffee type on the risk of OA. Results: In two-sample MR, coffee intake increased the risk of OA in various sites, with the most significant impact observed in knee osteoarthritis (KOA) (odds ratio [OR] 2.03, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.57-2.61, p < 0.001). The effect on self-reported OA was minimal (OR 1.03, 95% CI 1.01-1.05, p = 0.006). Further analysis of different types of coffee revealed that only decaffeinated coffee was causally associated with both KOA (OR 4.40, 95% CI 1.71-11.33, p = 0.002) and self-reported OA (OR 1.13, 95% CI 1.02-1.26, p = 0.022). In two-step MR, BMI explained over half of the coffee intake-all OA risk association, while BMD accounted for less than 5% of the mediation effect. Conclusion: Our study suggests that coffee intake increase the risk of OA, with BMI playing a significant mediating role. Decaffeinated coffee appears to have the greatest impact on OA risk compared to other types of coffee. Therefore, managing BMI and selecting appropriate types of coffee should be included in the health management of individuals who frequently consume coffee.

BACKGROUND: With the increasing global aging population, how to allocate older people care resources reasonably has become an increasingly urgent international issue. China, as the largest developing country, has made many efforts to actively respond to the challenges of an aging population. However, there are still problems with uneven allocation of older people care resources and low efficiency of allocation. Therefore, this study evaluates the regional differences and dynamic evolution of the equity and efficiency of older people care resource allocation in China from 2009 to 2020, and explores ways to change the current situation. METHODS: The data used in this study were derived from the "China Statistical Yearbook" and the "China Civil Affairs Statistical Yearbook" for the period of 2010-2021. Firstly, the equity of older people care resource allocation was measured using the Gini coefficient, the Theil index, the Older People Care Resource Density Index, and the Older People Care Resource Agglomeration Degree. Secondly, the dynamic Slack-Based Measure data envelopment analysis method was adopted to evaluate efficiency. Lastly, the Z-score is used to normalize the equity index and perform classification matching with the efficiency value. Spatial autocorrelation analysis and hotspot analysis were conducted using GIS technology to examine the dynamic evolution process of older people care resource allocation equity and efficiency, as well as their spatial distribution patterns and coordination across provinces from 2009 to 2020. RESULTS: The equity analysis showed that the spatial distribution of various types of older people care resources was uneven, and the differences were mainly due to internal differences within each region, with the largest equity differences observed in western provinces. Currently, older people care resources are mainly concentrated in eastern regions, while the total amount of older people care resources in western regions and some central regions is relatively small, which cannot meet the older people care needs of residents. The efficiency analysis results showed that the efficiency of older people care resource allocation has been improving over the past 12 years, and in 2020, 77.42% of provinces were located on the efficiency frontier with an average efficiency value of 0.9396. Finally, the coordination analysis results showed that there were significant spatiotemporal differences in the equity and efficiency of older people care resources allocation. CONCLUSION: With the development of society and economy, the total amount and service capacity of older people care resources in China have greatly improved. However, there are still significant spatiotemporal differences in the equity and efficiency of older people care resource allocation. The development of older people care services in central and eastern provinces is unbalanced, and there is a polarization trend in terms of equity and efficiency of older people care resource allocation. Most provinces in western regions face the dual dilemma of inadequate older people care resources and low utilization efficiency. It is recommended that policymakers comprehensively consider population and geographic factors in different provinces, establish relevant allocation standards according to local conditions, improve the redistribution system, and focus on increasing the total amount of older people care resources in underdeveloped provinces while promoting resource flow.

SIGNIFICANCE STATEMENT: Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) is a devastating disorder caused by mutations in polycystin 1 ( PKD1 ) and polycystin 2 ( PKD2 ). Currently, the mechanism for renal cyst formation remains unclear. Here, we provide convincing and conclusive data in mice demonstrating that Pkd2 deletion in embryonic Aqp2 + progenitor cells (AP), but not in neonate or adult Aqp2 + cells, is sufficient to cause severe polycystic kidney disease (PKD) with progressive loss of intercalated cells and complete elimination of α -intercalated cells, accurately recapitulating a newly identified cellular phenotype of patients with ADPKD. Hence, Pkd2 is a new potential regulator critical for balanced AP differentiation into, proliferation, and/or maintenance of various cell types, particularly α -intercalated cells. The Pkd2 conditional knockout mice developed in this study are valuable tools for further studies on collecting duct development and early steps in cyst formation. The finding that Pkd2 loss triggers the loss of intercalated cells is a suitable topic for further mechanistic studies. BACKGROUND: Most cases of autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) are caused by mutations in PKD1 or PKD2. Currently, the mechanism for renal cyst formation remains unclear. Aqp2 + progenitor cells (AP) (re)generate ≥5 cell types, including principal cells and intercalated cells in the late distal convoluted tubules (DCT2), connecting tubules, and collecting ducts. METHODS: Here, we tested whether Pkd2 deletion in AP and their derivatives at different developmental stages is sufficient to induce PKD. Aqp2Cre Pkd2f/f ( Pkd2AC ) mice were generated to disrupt Pkd2 in embryonic AP. Aqp2ECE/+Pkd2f/f ( Pkd2ECE ) mice were tamoxifen-inducted at P1 or P60 to inactivate Pkd2 in neonate or adult AP and their derivatives, respectively. All induced mice were sacrificed at P300. Immunofluorescence staining was performed to categorize and quantify cyst-lining cell types. Four other PKD mouse models and patients with ADPKD were similarly analyzed. RESULTS: Pkd2 was highly expressed in all connecting tubules/collecting duct cell types and weakly in all other tubular segments. Pkd2AC mice had obvious cysts by P6 and developed severe PKD and died by P17. The kidneys had reduced intercalated cells and increased transitional cells. Transitional cells were negative for principal cell and intercalated cell markers examined. A complete loss of α -intercalated cells occurred by P12. Cysts extended from the distal renal segments to DCT1 and possibly to the loop of Henle, but not to the proximal tubules. The induced Pkd2ECE mice developed mild PKD. Cystic α -intercalated cells were found in the other PKD models. AQP2 + cells were found in cysts of only 13/27 ADPKD samples, which had the same cellular phenotype as Pkd2AC mice. CONCLUSIONS: Hence, Pkd2 deletion in embryonic AP, but unlikely in neonate or adult Aqp2 + cells (principal cells and AP), was sufficient to cause severe PKD with progressive elimination of α -intercalated cells, recapitulating a newly identified cellular phenotype of patients with ADPKD. We proposed that Pkd2 is critical for balanced AP differentiation into, proliferation, and/or maintenance of cystic intercalated cells, particularly α -intercalated cells.

Sugars are renewable resources essential to human life, but they are rarely used as raw materials for the industrial production of carbon-based materials, especially for the preparation of carbon fiber-reinforced carbon-matrix (C/C) composites, which are extremely useful for the semiconductor and aerospace sectors. Herein, a method utilizing sugar-derived carbon to replace petrochemicals as dense matrix to preparing C/C composites is reported. The matrix from sugar-derived C/C (S-C/C) composites has a nanocrystalline graphite structure that is highly thermally stable and effectively bonded to the carbon fibers. The mechanical properties of the S-C/C composite are comparable to those prepared from petrochemical sources; significantly, it exhibits a linear ablation rate of 0.03 mm s-1 after 200 s of ablation at 3000 °C in 10 MW m-2 heat flux. This new class of S-C/C is promising for use in a broad range of fields, ranging from semiconductor to aerospace.

OBJECTIVE: To explore the difference in temperature recovery following cold stimulation between participants with and without diabetes mellitus (DM). MATERIALS AND METHODS: The participants without (control group; n = 25) and with (DM group; n = 26) DM were subjected to local cold stimulation (10º C for 90 s). The thermal images of their hands were continuously captured using a thermal camera within 7 min following cold stimulation, and the highest temperature of each fingertip was calculated. According to the temperature values at different timepoints, the temperature recovery curves were drawn, and the baseline temperature (T-base), initial temperature after cooling (T0), temperature decline amplitude (T-range), and area under the temperature recovery curve > T0 (S) were calculated. Finally, symmetry differences between the two groups were analysed. RESULTS: No statistical differences in the T-base, T0, and T-range were observed between the DM and control groups. After drawing the rewarming curve according to the temperature of the fingertips of the patients following cold stimulation, the S in the DM group was significantly lower than that in the control group (p < 0.05). Furthermore, the asymmetry of the base temperature of the hand was observed in the DM group. CONCLUSIONS: Following cold stimulation, the patients with DM exhibited a different rewarming pattern than those without DM. Thus, cold stimulation tests under infrared thermography may contribute to the early screening of diabetic peripheral neuropathy in future.

Background: During the Omicron variant outbreak of COVID-19 (2022-2023), Chinese healthcare institutions combined traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) with Western medical practices to treat COVID-19 patients, especially the elderly. The efficacy and safety of this approach, especially for individuals aged over 85, need further investigation. Methods: In this retrospective study, a cohort of 62 patients aged over 85 years, diagnosed with COVID-19 infection, was examined. Among them, 34 patients were administered Shashen-Maidong decoction in conjunction with Western medicine (SMD+WM group), while the remaining 28 patients received only Western medicine (WM group). Comparative analysis was conducted between the two groups, encompassing parameters such as the duration for the nucleic acid test to turn negative, length of intensive care unit (ICU) stay, mortality rate, utilization of high-flow nasal cannula oxygen (HFNC), occurrence of endo-tracheal intubation, frequency of recurrent respiratory infections within three months, and various laboratory indicators. Results: There were no significant differences observed between the two groups in terms of the duration for the nucleic acid test to turn negative, the length of ICU stay, mortality rate, utilization of HFNC, performance of endo-tracheal intubation, or the frequency of recurrent respiratory infections within three months (P > 0.05). However, in comparison to the WM group, the SMD+WM group exhibited notably lower growth rates in white blood cell (WBC) and neutrophil (NEUT) values. Additionally, the SMD+WM group demonstrated superior improvement in cardiac troponin I (cTnI) and B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP) values. Conclusion: In contrast to the administration of Western medicine alone, the combined use of Shashen-Maidong decoction with Western medicine significantly suppresses the increase in WBC count, particularly in NEUT levels, in elderly patients diagnosed with COVID-19. Moreover, this combined treatment exhibits a protective effect on cardiac function and demonstrates a relatively safe profile.

Flexible tissue modeling plays an important role in the field of telemedicine. It is related to whether the soft tissue deformation process can be accurately, real-time and vividly simulated during surgery. However, most existing models lack the unique biological characteristics. To solve this problem, we proposed a high-fidelity virtual liver model incorporating biological characteristics, such as the viscoelastic, anisotropic and nonlinear biological characteristics. Besides, to the best of our knowledge, our study is the first to introduce the viscoplasticity of biological tissues to improve the fidelity of the liver model. This mothod was proposed to describe the viscoplastic characteristics of the diseased liver resection process, when the liver is in a state of excessive deformation and loss of elasticity, however, there are few works focusing on this problem. The 3DMax2020 and OpenGL4.6 were used to build a liver surgery simulation platform, and the PHANTOM OMNI manual controller was used to sense the feedback force during the operation. The proposed model was verified from three aspects of accuracy, fidelity and real-time performance. The experimental results show that the proposed virtual liver model can enhance visual perception ability, improve deformation accuracy and fidelity.

BACKGROUND: Radiotherapy (RT) causes adverse events for which there are no effective treatments. This study investigated the clinical benefits of compound Kushen injection (CKI) in managing radiation injury in patients with lung cancer. METHODS: A multicenter, open-label, randomized clinical trial randomly assigned patients with lung cancer to receive either CKI (20 mL/d for at least 4 weeks) integrated with curative RT (RT + CKI group; n=130) or RT alone (control group; n=130). The primary outcome was the incidence of grade ≥2 radiation-induced lung injury (RILI) in the lungs, esophagus, or heart. Secondary outcomes included patient-reported symptoms, quality of life, objective response rate (ORR), and toxic effects. RESULTS: During the 16-week trial, the RT + CKI group had a significantly lower incidence of grade ≥2 RT-related injury than the control group (12.3% [n=16] vs 23.1% [n=30]; P=.02). Compared with the control group, the RT + CKI group experienced a significant decrease in moderate-to-severe symptoms of fatigue, cough, and pain (P<.001 for the treatment and time interaction term); significantly less physical symptom interference (P=.01); and significantly better quality of life by the end of the trial (P<.05). No statistically significant difference in ORR was found. Adverse reactions associated with CKI were rare. CONCLUSIONS: This study demonstrated low toxicity of CKI and its effectiveness in patients with lung cancer in reducing the incidence of grade ≥2 RILI and symptom burden, improving patients' quality of life.

Background: Prevention and treatment of colorectal adenoma (CRA) are great significant to reduce morbidity and mortality of colorectal cancer. Although there have been numerous studies on CRA recently, few publications utilized the bibliometrics to evaluate this field. The objective of current study was to provide a comprehensive analysis of the current state and frontier progress of CRA over the past 20 years. Methods: The Web of Science Core Collection was utilized to extracted all studies of CRA during 2002-2022. Bibliometric tools including CiteSpace, VOSviewer, and the Online Analysis Platform of Literature Metrology were used for statistical analysis. CiteSpace and the Online Analysis Platform were used to evaluate the contributions of various countries/regions, institutions, authors, and journals in this field. Research hotspots and trends were identified through keywords and references analysis by VOSviewer and CiteSpace. Results: 2,268 publications from 2002 to 2022 in total were identified. The number of global publications in this field has increased annually. The USA was the most productive country, contributing nearly 30% of global publications. But in recent years, China's publications grew rapidly and had the highest citation strength. The most productive institutions was the National Cancer Institute. Baron JA from the USA was the most productive and the one of most co-cited authors. Cancer Epidemiology Biomarkers & Prevention had the highest number of publications and Gastroenterology was the most co-cited journals. Analysis of keywords clusters showed that "mechanism/pathophysiology", "risk factors and prevention", "colonoscopy screening and treatment", "metabolism", and "microbiota" were the major frontier topics and the main research directions. Conclusions: CRA publications have shown a gradual upward trend in recent years, most of which have been published by developed countries. Developing countries should further focus on CRA research and transnational cooperation with developed countries in the future, in order to better improve the situation of the increasing morbidity and mortality of CRC. Baron JA was the most outstanding researcher in this field. More attention should be devoted to "pathogenesis of CRA", "less invasive diagnostic methods", "chemoprevention", and "screening and risk prediction of CRA including gut microbiome and metabolism", which will be frontiers in the future.

Objective: To investigate the short- and mid-term effectiveness of unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA) for post-traumatic arthritis (PTA) of knee. Methods: The clinical data of 30 patients with PTA of unilateral knee between March 2014 and September 2021 was retrospectively analyzed. There were 14 males and 16 females with an average of 64.5 years (range, 33-81 years). The average body mass index was 26.7 kg/m 2 (range, 19.8-35.6 kg/m 2). The types of injuries that caused PTA included intra-articular fracture in 16 cases, extra-articular fracture in 8 cases, and soft tissue injury in 6 cases. The initial injuries were treated by conservative therapy in 12 cases and by surgical therapy in 18 cases. Ten cases were medial compartment osteoarthritis and 20 cases were lateral compartment osteoarthritis. According to Kellgren-Lawrence staging, there were 19 cases of grade Ⅲ and 11 cases of grade Ⅳ. The operative time, the length of hospital stay, complications, and subjective satisfaction were recorded. The Oxford Knee Function Score (OKS), Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) score, and knee range of motion (ROM) were used to evaluate knee function. Weight-bearing X-ray films were taken to measure the femoro-tibial angle (FTA) and to assess alignment correction of the lower limb. Results: The operative time ranged from 50 to 95 minutes (mean, 63.7 minutes), the length of hospital stay ranged from 3 to 8 days (mean, 6.9 days). Superficial infection occurred in 2 patients, while the remaining incisions healed by first intention. There was no deep vein thrombosis or neurovascular injury. All patients were followed up 17-109 months (median, 70 months). At last follow-up, OKS score, HSS score, and ROM in 30 cases significantly improved when compared with those before operation (P<0.05). Lower limb alignment was significantly corrected and there was significant difference in FTA of the varus and valgus knees between pre- and post-operation ( P<0.05). The patient satisfaction rate was 86.7% (26/30). Two cases developed contralateral osteoarthritis progression during follow-up. No bearing dislocation, prosthesis loosening or sinking occurred and none required further revision. Conclusion: For patients with PTA of knee, UKA can obtain definite short- and mid-term effectiveness with high patient satisfaction.

The mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) family is highly conserved in mammals, and is involved in a variety of physiological phenomena like regeneration, development, cell proliferation, and differentiation. In this study, 13 MAPK genes were identified in cattle and their corresponding protein properties were characterized using genome-wide identification and analysis. Phylogenetic analysis showed that the 13 BtMAPKs were cluster grouped into eight major evolutionary branches, which were segmented into three large subfamilies: ERK, p38 and JNK MAPK. BtMAPKs from the same subfamily had similar protein motif compositions, but considerably different exon-intron patterns. The heatmap analysis of transcriptome sequencing data showed that the expression of BtMAPKs was tissue-specific, with BtMAPK6 and BtMAPK12 highly expressed in muscle tissues. Furthermore, knockdown of BtMAPK6 and BtMAPK12 revealed that BtMAPK6 had no effect on myogenic cell proliferation, but negatively affected the differentiation of myogenic cells. In contrast, BtMAPK12 improved both the cell proliferation and differentiation. Taken together, these results provide novel insights into the functions of MAPK families in cattle, which could serve as a basis for further studies on the specific mechanisms of the genes in myogenesis.

PURPOSE: Acupuncture has been widely used in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis (KOA), but the selection of acupoints is indeterminate and lacks biological basis. The skin temperature of acupoints can reflect the state of local tissue and may be a potential factor for guiding acupoint selection. This study aims to compare the skin temperature of acupoints between KOA patients and the healthy population. STUDY DESIGN AND METHODS: This is a protocol for a cross-sectional case-control study with 170 KOA patients and 170 age- and gender-matched healthy individuals. Diagnosed patients aged 45 to 70 will be recruited in the KOA group. Participants in the healthy group will be matched with the KOA group based on mean age and gender distribution. Skin temperature of 11 acupoints (ST35, EX-LE5, GB33, GB34, EX-LE2, ST34, ST36, GB39, BL40, SP9, SP10) will be extracted from infrared thermography (IRT) images of the lower limbs. Other measurements will include demographic data (gender, age, ethnicity, education, height, weight, BMI) and disease-related data (numerical rating scale, pain sites, duration of pain, pain descriptors, pain activities). DISCUSSION: The results of this study will provide biological evidence for acupoint selection. This study is a precondition for follow-up studies, in which the value of optimized acupoint selection will be verified. TRIAL REGISTRATION: ChiCTR2200058867.

A fluorine-containing main-chain benzoxazine (BAF-M-TB) was co-cured with biphenyl epoxy for the integrated circuit industry. The benzoxazine precursor was synthesized using 4,4'-(Hexafluoroisopropylidene)diphenol (bisphenol AF), 2,2'-Dimethyl-[1,1'-biphenyl]-4,4'-Diamine(M-TB), and paraformaldehyde. In addition, the 3,3'-(Oxybis(4,1-phenylene))bis(3,4-dihydro-2H-benzo[e][1,3]oxazine) (Benoxazine ODA-BOZ), which is a commercialized benzoxazine, was co-cured with biphenyl epoxy as a control. The two co-curing systems were referred to as EP/BAF-M-TB and EP/ODA-BOZ. The curing kinetics, rheological behavior, and thermal stability of the two co-curing systems were studied. Poly-EP/BAF-M-TB and poly-EP/ODA-BOZ quartz fiber cloth reinforced composites (QFRPs) were prepared using the prepreg laminating method in order to determine their mechanical, thermal, and dielectric properties. Both of them showed good thermal properties and dielectric properties. The dielectric constant of poly-EP/BAF-M-TB QFRP is in the range of 3.25-3.54 at the low frequency of 10 kHz-10 MHz. At the high frequency of 5 GHz, its dielectric constant is 3.16, which is better than that of poly-EP/ODA-BOZ QFRP. Additionally, the Td5 of poly-EP/BAF-M-TB was 398 °C in a nitrogen atmosphere, which is higher than that of poly-EP/ODA-BOZ.

This study aimed to explore the potential molecular pathways and targets of Alzheimer's disease leading to osteoporosis using bioinformatics tools. The Alzheimer's and osteoporosis microarray gene expression data were retrieved from the Gene Expression Omnibus, and differentially expressed genes in the blood microenvironment related to Alzheimer's disease and osteoporosis were identified. The intersection of the three datasets (GSE97760, GSE168813, and GSE62402) was used to obtain 21 co-expressed targets in the peripheral blood samples in patients with Alzheimer's disease and osteoporosis. Based on the degree algorithm, the top 10 potential core target genes related to these diseases were identified, which included CLEC4D, PROK2, SIGLEC7, PDGFB, PTCRA, ECH1, etc. Two differentially expressed mRNAs, Prokineticin 2 (PROK2) and three colony-stimulating factor 3 (CSF3), were screened in the GSE62402 dataset associated with osteoporosis. Protein-protein rigid docking with ZDOCK revealed that PROK2 and CSF3 could form a stable protein docking model. The interaction of PROK2 and CSF3, core genes related to osteoporosis inflammation, plays an important role in the mechanism of osteoporosis in patients with Alzheimer's. Therefore, abnormalities or alterations in the inflammatory pathways in the peripheral blood samples of Alzheimer's patients may affect the course of osteoporosis.

Magnetorheological elastomer (MRE) is a kind of smart material, whose mechanical property can be controlled by the external magnetic field quickly and reversibly. The damping property of MRE is one of the most concerned properties when designing MRE based devices. In this work, the influence of gamma radiation on the damping property of MRE was investigated. Six different exposures of gamma radiation were applied to the MRE samples. The highest gamma radiation dose was up to 1 × 105 Gy(Si), which can cover most of the engineering application scenarios. The influence of gamma radiation on the damping-strain relation and the damping-magnetic-field relation were studied. The probable mechanisms were discussed in detail. It is found that the gamma radiation does not affect the variation trend of loss factor of MRE with increasing strain amplitude or magnetic flux density. But it affects the variation trend of the maximum change of strain-induced or magnetic-field-induced loss factor of MRE. Besides, with constant strain and constant magnetic flux density, the loss factor of MRE shows w-shape variation trend with increasing gamma radiation dose. It is considered to be resulted from the combined action of the intrinsic damping and the interfacial friction damping of MRE.

RESUMO

The most efficient way to treat tumors is through surgery. However, many cancer patients have a poor prognosis even when they undergo radical excision at an early stage. Micrometastasis is one of the most critical factors that induced this situation. Undetected micrometastasis can lead to the failure of initial treatment. Therefore, preoperative and intraoperative detection of micrometastasis could have a significant clinical influence on the prognosis and optimal therapy for cancer patients. Additionally, to achieve this goal, researchers have aimed to create more effective detection technologies. Herein, we classify the currently reported micrometastasis detection technologies, introduce some representative samples for each technology, including the limitations, and provide future directions to overcome the limitations.

Flexible body deformation model is the most critical research in the field of telemedicine, which decides whether the deformation process of tissues and organs can be simulated in real time and realistically. Basically, the improvement of model accuracy often means the loss of real-time performance. In order to effectively balance between accuracy and real-time performance, this paper proposes a new model, which uses the step-variable fourth-order Runge-Kutta method for the first time to solve the relationship problem between the external force and displacement of the nodes in the finite element deformation of the lung. To improve the real-time performance of the model, a one-stage solution optimization algorithm is proposed to optimize the step size selection problem. Finally, an accelerated two-level node update algorithm is proposed to further improve the real-time performance. A lung surgery simulation platform with 3DMax2020 and OpenGL4.5 is built to verify the accuracy, efficiency, realism and applicability of the model. Experimental results show that the proposed lung model can achieve real-world visual reproduction during remote surgery, and exceeds other 13 reference models in real-time performance, with natural deformation effect, high simulation accuracy, which is suitable for modeling normal lung and four types of lungs suffering from diseases.

The cAMP response element binding protein 1 (CREB1) is an important nuclear transcription factor in eukaryotes. To explore the potential role of CREB1 on Qinchuan bovine skeletal myoblasts, we investigated the function of CREB1 on proliferation and differentiation. In this study, we found that CREB1 promoted cell proliferation by promoting DNA synthesis in S phase and cell division in G2 phase and promoted myogenic differentiation process in bovine myoblasts. Through dual luciferase experiments, we found that CREB1 can bind to the proximal promoter regions of CCNA2 and MyoG, indicating that CREB1 can play a positive regulatory role in the proliferation and differentiation of myoblasts by mediating the transcription of CCNA2 and MyoG. In addition, through downstream target gene analysis and transcriptome sequencing, we found that CREB1 plays a role in cell proliferation, myogenic differentiation, skeletal muscle repair and other related pathways.
